The Steelhead Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is an ocean-going version of the Rainbow Trout that so many anglers are familiar with.
Steelhead are classified as an anadromous salmonids; which simply means they spend their adult life (1-4 years) in the ocean and return to freshwater rivers and streams to spawn. Steelhead Trout is so much like salmon in color, taste, and texture that in a blind taste test, it is very difficult to differentiate between the two.
Our Steelhead is packaged in individual 6oz portions. These vacuum-packed fillets are boneless and skinless.
