Copper River Wild Salmon journey up one of the most rugged rivers anywhere in the world and must store extra fat and oils in order to make this long journey. This high fat and oil content is why Copper River Salmon are the best tasting, have the highest Omega 3 levels, and are the highest quality salmon available to buy.
Alaskan Copper River Salmon are the first wild salmon on the market each year and are always in high demand by chefs and seafood connoisseurs around the world.
The difference between King and Sockeye Salmons;
King Salmon is the largest Alaskan Salmon. King Salmon has the thickest fat layer of any salmon, which is where the Omega-3's are stored. This thick fat layer makes this a very moist and juicy fillet. Our King fillets are 8-16 oz. individually vacuum sealed portions. It has an orange-ish red colored flesh and a very mild flavor.
Sockeye Salmon is the smallest Alaskan Salmon. Our Sockeye Salmon Fillets are 6-8 oz. individually vacuum sealed portions. Sockeye fillets have a bright red flesh color, and a stronger, more robust flavor.
