Hire Your Own Fishermen (and women)! This is a family fishing operation (that's us to the left) that takes us to the pristine waters of Alaska. As Commercial Fishermen since 1992, Owners, Operators, Marketers, and life-long Consumers of Wild Alaskan Salmon, we take seriously the commitment to education, conservation of the species, stewardship of our waterways, and a quality wild salmon product you will be proud to serve to friends and family. We are devoted to seeing that you always receive good value and top quality wild salmon, which can't always happen at the supermarket.
When shopping around for quality wild salmon, it is important to be sure that you're comparing "apples to apples." Is the salmon at your local supermarket truly wild? Is it packaged in convenient freezer-ready, meal-sized portions? Has the vendor selected only the purest sustainably-harvested salmon? Most of the salmon sold in supermarkets is farmed or "Atlantic" salmon. That is, salmon that is mass-produced in foreign waters, given artificial feed and coloring, and kept in penned enclosures with a lack of regulatory oversight. Salmon whose feed and waste create immense environmental degradation. Wild salmon is different from farmed in many important ways. They grow naturally in waters free of antibiotics, heavy metals, pesticides, growth hormones and artificial coloring agents. Their natural migration patterns and food sources enhance the fat layers that contain the Omega fatty acids we need for better health.
Our Wild Alaskan Salmon are bled, cleaned, and frozen at sea (FAS) within an hour of capture to lock in the fresh-caught flavor of the salmon while preserving the salmon's firm texture and rich color. This ensures a consistently high quality product to you.
We harvest our Wild Alaska Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho Salmon from cold, pristine Alaska waters. The diversity of Sustainable fisheries we personally participate in spreads out the availability of our fresh-frozen Wild Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho Salmon all year around. The organic Wild Alaska Salmon we harvest are at their peak levels of Omega3-fatty acid (3-6 year old fish) and have grown on natural marine diets including herring, shrimp, and squid. In contrast, a Farmed Atlantic salmon is raised in a netcage on manmade food pellets that are infused with dyes to make the flesh more appealing to the buyer, they are also fed more hormones, and antibiotics per pound then any other farmed live stock.
